Scheduling & Locations

To make sure the date and time you want is available, call or email Maui Island Portraits; or,  you can check the Schedule Calendar. To reserve the date, simply make your deposit, or full discounted payment (via the link at the bottom of the Rates and Products Page). You can include a note along with the payment stating the date and time of your choice, along with any requests for specific locations or other information you would like the photographer to know. Once your payment has been received, your date and time will be reserved and entered into the Schedule Calendar. You will then be contacted by Maui Island Portraits with some general information about the photo session.

Sessions take 1 to 2 hours- morning, afternoon or sunset.

Sunset sessions begin approximately 1 hour before sunset.

Maui offers a variety of scenic beach, park and resort locations to choose from within the normal service area including Iao Valley, Maui Tropical Plantation, Maalaea Harbor, Charley Young Beach, Kamaole III Beach Park, Wailea and Lahaina.  Natural setting portraits can even be at your hotel, condo or home.

Most all locations afford several settings. For example, a beach scene with the ocean in the background also offers rocky outcroppings, palm trees, foliage as additional natural backdrops. Many parks offer several settings which work well as backdrops for natural setting portraits. The grounds of local resorts offer numerous settings within one location. Your CD portrait collection will contain several settings and different poses from any one location.

Natural setting portraits can be fun. It's an opportunity to try on poses and expressions, to model and present yourself, in a beautiful environment. You will be guided and assisted in poses and expressions; however, natural, candid spontaneity is also encouraged -some of the best images captured come from just being....natural.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

If you need to cancel your scheduled appointment for any reason up to one week prior the reserved date, you will receive a full refund*. Should weather prohibit the photo session and rescheduling is not possible, you will receive a full refund*. Sometimes unavoidable situations, such as traffic jams due to an accident or a fire, prevent the session from taking place at the scheduled time. In such cases, if rescheduling is not possible, you will receive a full refund*. If you need to cancel sometime during the week prior the appointment, you will receive 50% refund*. Should you be unable to make your appointment at the last minute, every effort will be made to reschedule.
