Maui Island Portraits provides you with professional photography geared towards affordable and quality results specializing in natural settings. The natural environment of Maui is an ideal location for  individual, family, couples and wedding photography as well as senior portraits or as additions to a model's portfolio. Maui offers a variety of lovely, picturesque, scenic beaches, parks and resorts to choose from within the normal service area, including Iao Valley, Maui Tropical Plantation, Maalaea Harbor, Charley Young Beach, Kamaole III Beach Park, Wailea and Lahaina.  A great majority of all photo shoots are at beaches within the normal service area. For those wanting photography outside the normal service area or at several different locations, additional fees apply and will vary depending on locations, distance, possible parking and/or entrance fees. To make sure the date and time you want is available, call or email Maui Island Portraits; or,  you can check the  schedule calendar. To reserve the date, simply make your deposit, or full discounted payment (via the drop down menu on the Rates page). You can include a note along with the payment stating the date and time of your choice, along with any requests for specific locations or other information you would like the photographer to know. Once your payment has been received, your date and time will be reserved and entered into the schedule calendar. Upon receipt of payment, you will be contacted by Maui Island Portraits with confirmation and some general information about the photo session.

Sessions take about 60 - 90 minutes,  morning, afternoon or sunset.

Sunset sessions begin approximately 1 hour before sunset.

Most all locations afford several settings. For example, a sandy shoreline beach scene with the ocean in the background also offers rocky outcroppings, palm trees and tropical foliage as additional natural backdrops. Many parks offer several settings which work well as backdrops for natural setting portraits. The grounds of local resorts offer numerous  excellent settings within one location. Your CD portrait collection will contain several settings  from any one location.

Natural setting portraits can be fun. It's an opportunity to try on poses and expressions, to model and present yourself, in a beautiful environment. You will be guided and assisted in poses and expressions; however, natural, candid spontaneity is also encouraged -some of the best images captured come from just being....natural.  However, with large or multiple families it is recommended that you notify the photographer about which specific groupings and sub-groupings you would particularly like to have as part of the CD.

Regardless of which portrait category you choose, you receive:

> Pre-session consultation.

> One location, with a variety of settings. Couples and family sessions generally include individual and sub-grouping shots as well. A change of clothing can be an option if desired.

>A collection of quality professionally edited images (often well over several dozen) on CD mailed to your home. The CD contains two folders, one with high resolution images suitable for printing up to 16" x 20" or larger  and one with low resolution pictures suitable for email or websites. Both folders contain the same identical images.

> Complete printing rights to all images; you can reproduce as many as you like in various different sizes, at cost from your favorite store or lab.

> A private online gallery with many features and options including prints, cards, calendars and other specialty items.
